New beMatrix: the furnishing collection by Remigio Architects
Floral elements, bright colours, natural inspirations: the series of furnishings and installation elements by Remigio Architects brings with it a breath of spring. And it is characterised by its materials, a combination of beMatrix aluminium frames and different coverings, including recycled fabrics, marble, and wood.
Presented at the “Flowers – an exhibit design showcase” event held at the Milan Interexpo site, the collection is dedicated to exhibit contexts and exhibition spaces and was realised in collaboration with ABS Group.
Flowers: a new interpretation of the beMatrix system
The “Flowers” collection confirms the incredible versatility of the beMatrix frame system, which proves to be a suitable support not only for stands and displays, but also for creative sustainable furniture. A novel approach, which offers numerous ideas for expanding the design possibilities offered by the system.
Colourful floral furniture
Roisy 1 and 2 are a tête-à-tête armchair and an ottoman, respectively. The structures are green beMatrix frames, the covers are in sublimation-print fabric and the seats are made up of red felt roses, made and applied by hand.
Tulip table is a round coffee table, consisting of a grey marble top with a yellow flower inlaid in the centre and legs made of beMatrix frames painted yellow. Woody is a console table with an oak top fitted with lights and legs in lightened indigo beMatrix frames.
Versatile illustrated walls
The “Flowers” collection also includes different types of display or partition walls, all made with the beMatrix frame system and sublimation-print fabric covers by ABS Group.
Knock-Knock is an 11-metre wall offering a visual and functional experience thanks to 4 doors that open 180°. Hive box is a wall that serves as a backdrop for two asymmetrical showcases illuminated by a lighting system designed by Remigio Architects and produced by Rimani srl. Finally, Hedge Display is an imposing two-sided, multi-faceted display wall with three bush-hammered aluminium shelves.
Creative engaging installations
Genesis is a ring-shaped element reproducing Leonardo da Vinci’s famous Vitruvian Man. Its structure is made entirely of beMatrix aluminium frames, covered in dye-sublimation print fabric. This installation has been designed to actively involve visitors, who can enter the ring and step into the shoes of the Vitruvian Man.
