#TailoredRetail

The Borsalino store has been custom-designed to meet the client’s needs. The total white interior contrasting with the evocative images printed on the external fabrics, the bright walls, the painstakingly and precisely designed product display stands… all are choices that combine aesthetics and functionality, consistent with the brand’s image.

#TextileArchitectureBenefits

The aluminium and fabric structures are load-bearing , yet versatile and light. A store like Borsalino’s can be transported in just a few cubed meters of space, simplifying logistics and assembly.
The fabrics can then be simply replaced to renew the look, promote a product and convey a message.

The Project

The Borsalino travel boutique at Rome Fiumicino Airport is the result of a renewed collaboration with Store Builder, a company specialising in the design of commercial spaces, which once again chose fabric and aluminium as alternative construction materials to traditional ones.
The result is an innovative store, in which every detail is built in textile architecture, without the need for any masonry work. The partly-backlit walls are fitted out with metal shelving and hooks for displaying the hats. Next to the register, the shop has a small warehouse made entirely of fabric, including the access door and a blind for closure.
