Because our aim is to leave our mark and to generate, with our proposals, a positive impact on everything around us.

Circular approach

When we talk about “sustainable set-ups” we refer to the characteristics of the products and services we deliver to our clients, but also to our management of the entire production cycle, the optimisation of energy resources, and the reduction of waste. For example, we have chosen to give a second life to the fabric waste produced when we start up our machines: customised with the LEAF brand, they are sewn by our seamstresses to become the bags for packaging our sheets of fabric, replacing plastic wrappings.

Materials

Fabrics

All our fabrics are polyester-based, OEKO-TEX® certified, and free from PVC and hazardous substances. They are customised with sublimation printing, which uses specific water-based inks free from azoic components, fixed by pressure at a high temperature.

Aluminium

Lightweight strong aluminium structures are designed for endless reuse, making them an environmentally friendly and sustainable choice. Their use reduces the need for new resources, helping to minimise the environmental impact associated with the production and disposal of waste.

LEDs

The LEDs used for backlighting are designed to low-consumption and thus contribute to greater overall energy efficiency. This choice results in lower operating costs and environmental impact compared to traditional lighting sources. In addition, their long life reduces the need for frequent replacement, further contributing to sustainable resource management.

Lower direct and indirect emissions

ABS Group strives constantly to measure and reduce direct and indirect emissions of GHG (Greenhouse Gas). As far as direct emissions are concerned, we have chosen to adopt electric and hybrid cars for company transport. With regard to indirect emissions from the use of light and heavy transport, our company has embarked on a strategy aimed at selecting suppliers based on strict environmental sustainability criteria. In particular, we choose partners who take tangible steps to offset their CO2 emissions.

Our company has decided to purchase electricity exclusively from renewable sources, generated from hydroelectric resources in South Tyrol and distributed by Alperia.

Consumption management

A geothermal system has been installed in our company, designed to make the best use of renewable energy sources. This system uses water from natural springs to feed our cooling and heating system. A choice that ensures optimal energy efficiency and contributes to the conservation of water resources, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable and innovative practices.

Responsible waste management

Our production plant and offices have adopted a system of separate waste collection, with bins specifically for each type of waste. This initiative is not limited to separating materials, but also includes an ongoing effort to make all staff aware of the importance of separate waste collection as good environmental practice. Thanks to these collective efforts, we have achieved a remarkable result: a 12.5% reduction in the production of ordinary waste.

Choosing not to use wood, plasterboard or paint, but environmentally sustainable materials that can be taken down and reused can lead to a reduction in CO2 emissions of over 90%. A clear example of these results can be seen in the stand created for Almec Group, whose carbon footprint was calculated using dedicated software.
